FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you write to us.

General Platform

Is my first deal free of platform fees?

Yes, while the first-deal promotion is available. Your first order on PrimusLink has no PrimusLink platform fee: no 10% platform fee for a brand and no 5% creator service fee for a creator. Each account gets this once, on the order’s main payment and up to $1,000 of order value. Anything above that, and any additional payments on the order, are charged at the standard rate. Payment-processing fees and applicable taxes are not waived and are shown before payment. Referral rewards are based on the platform fee PrimusLink actually earns, so a fee waived under this promotion earns no reward. The promotion is limited and can change or end at any time. See our Terms of Service (§11.3 and §11.3A) for details.

What can someone without an account do on a public profile?

They can view it—profile details, portfolio, packages or briefs, reviews, and Primus Score. To send a message, buy a package, or apply to a brief, they need to sign up and create a profile first. Visitors who aren’t signed in see total earnings or spend only as a range, never the exact amount. Signed-in members also see a range by default; the profile owner can choose to show the exact amount to signed-in members in Settings.

What is the Primus Score?

The Primus Score is the track record on every PrimusLink profile, built from real deals. It shows completed deals, on-time delivery, disputes, packages sold or bought, brief hires, the average rating with verified reviews, and a deal tier (Starter, Experienced, or Top). Creators with a connected channel also show API-sourced followers, engagement rate, and average views. Both creators and brands have one, and it updates automatically as deals are completed and reviews come in. Anyone with a public profile link can see it. Total earnings or spend appear only as a range unless the profile owner chooses to show the exact amount to signed-in members in Settings.

What’s the difference between a Package and a Brief?

A Package is a ready-made service a creator lists with fixed pricing and deliverables—you buy it directly, like ordering from a menu. A Brief is a campaign you post describing what you need—creators apply, and you choose who to hire.

What content platforms do you support?

PrimusLink supports creators working on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch. It also supports UGC creators who produce content for brands without publishing it to their own social channels.

Is there a minimum follower requirement?

Creators need at least 100 followers to post deals. There is no follower requirement for UGC creators—content quality and a proven deal track record are what matter.

Which countries do you support?

We currently focus exclusively on the U.S. market to provide the best possible experience for both brands and creators.

Do you provide contracts or order terms?

Every deal on PrimusLink is governed by Order Terms confirmed as part of the order flow. They cover the scope, deliverables, timeline, revisions, and payment conditions for that order. Both parties are expected to follow them. PrimusLink does not provide contract templates or e-signature tools for deals made outside the platform.

What can the Ask Primus AI assistant do?

Ask Primus is PrimusLink’s AI assistant. It answers questions about how the platform works, 24/7. To use it, open Help Center in the app and choose the Ask Primus tab. You can ask about deals, payouts, fees, briefs, orders, or where to find something. Answers are tailored to your role (creator or brand), and it can look up information in your own account. It’s read-only: it can’t change anything, send messages, or see your deliverables. For legal questions, it points you to the relevant document rather than interpreting it. Each account can ask up to 20 questions a day, and the limit resets at midnight UTC (5 PM Arizona time). Like any AI, it can be wrong. If an answer looks off, use Wrong response to flag it. For a problem with a specific deal, use the Support icon in that deal. Your questions are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Payments & Security

How are payments protected?

Brand payments are secured before work begins. After approval or automatic approval, a 3-day security hold begins. Once the hold ends, the creator’s earnings become available for transfer through Stripe Connect. Either party can open a dispute during the security-hold period.

How does watermark protection work?

Brands review a watermarked preview first and get the original files after they approve. When a creator uploads photos or videos as deliverables, PrimusLink creates a watermarked version for the brand to review. The originals stay private until the work is approved, either by the brand or automatically after 72 hours without a response. If a preview can’t be created, the brand won’t see the originals as a fallback. Deliverables shared as links aren’t watermarked. After approval, the brand can download the originals for 90 days after the deal is completed. Each download link works for 7 days, and opening the files again creates a fresh one.

When do creators get paid?

After approval or automatic approval, a 3-day security hold begins. Once the hold ends, the creator’s earnings become available for transfer through Stripe Connect. Standard bank transfers typically take another 1–2 business days.

What currencies do you support?

All transactions on PrimusLink are processed in U.S. dollars (USD).

What is the minimum deal size?

All deals on PrimusLink have a minimum order value of $100. This applies to both Packages and Briefs. Orders below this amount cannot be processed by the platform.

What happens if a client disputes a payment with their bank?

If a brand disputes a payment with their card-issuing bank and PrimusLink successfully defends the dispute on your behalf, your payout remains protected. In that case, the dispute response fee charged to us by our payment processor is passed through to you at cost—we don’t add any markup. If the dispute is decided against us, the related payout may be reversed or offset in accordance with our Terms, but no separate dispute-response fee applies.

What are PrimusCredits?

PrimusCredits are non-cash credits that brands earn through the Referral Program. They can be applied as a discount toward the platform fee at checkout, up to 50% per order. PrimusCredits have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.

What happens to my PrimusCredits if an order is refunded?

If an order is refunded because the creator didn’t deliver—such as a missed deadline or a dispute resolved in your favor—the PrimusCredits you applied are returned to your balance. If the order is canceled by mutual agreement or reversed through a chargeback, the applied PrimusCredits are not restored. The creator’s rate may be refunded, but platform and payment-processing fees may be non-refundable depending on the cancellation or dispute outcome.

Do PrimusCredits expire?

Yes. PrimusCredits expire 12 months from the date they are issued. Your balance is also capped at $500. If you reach the cap, new credits are paused (not lost) until your balance drops below the limit.

For Creators

Is there a fee for creators?

Yes. A 5% creator service fee applies to each order payment, including additional payments. It is deducted from your rate when the brand’s payment is captured, and the earnings shown in the app already reflect it. The rate is set when the order is created, so orders created before the fee took effect are not affected. No fee is charged if an order is canceled before capture, and it is not kept on refunded amounts. Brand prices and the brand platform fee don’t change. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

How do I increase my chances of getting brand deals?

Complete your profile with detailed analytics. Showcase your best work in your portfolio, and share your public profile link with brands you pitch. Set competitive but fair pricing. Maintain high response rates to incoming offers. Deliver high-quality work to build your Primus Score and reputation.

What if a brand doesn’t approve my content?

If the brand does not respond within 72 hours of your submission, the content is automatically approved and the 3-day security hold begins. If the brand raises an issue during the applicable review or security-hold period, both parties first have 72 hours to try to resolve it. If no agreement is reached, PrimusLink Support reviews the dispute and makes a commercially reasonable effort to resolve it within 5 business days after receiving all requested information. Complex cases may take longer. Funds remain on hold until the dispute is resolved.

How and when do I withdraw my earnings?

After approval or automatic approval, a 3-day security hold begins. When the hold ends and your available balance reaches the $10 minimum transfer amount, you can request a Standard transfer for free; it typically arrives in 1–2 business days. If eligible, you can choose an Instant Transfer for a fee of up to 1.5% of the transfer amount, with a $0.50 minimum. Instant Transfer availability and timing depend on Stripe and your bank.

What happens if I miss my delivery deadline?

You receive a warning 24 hours before the deadline. If you miss it, you have a 24-hour cure period to submit your deliverables. After that, the order is automatically canceled, the creator’s rate is refunded to the brand’s original payment method, and it counts as a strike on your account. The platform fee and the Stripe processing fee are non-refundable.

Can I receive my funds faster than with a Standard transfer?

When your available balance reaches the $10 minimum transfer amount, eligible creators can choose an Instant Transfer for a fee of up to 1.5% of the transfer amount, with a $0.50 minimum. Funds typically arrive within 30 minutes, subject to Stripe and bank availability.

For Brands

How do I find the right creators for my campaign?

Use our search filters to narrow creators by niche, audience demographics, engagement rate, platform, and budget to find the right fit for your campaign.

What is Concierge Match?

Concierge Match (beta) is optional help with sourcing creators for an active Brief. Choose the brief, add any notes, and our team works to bring suitable creators to apply. It is provided on a best-efforts basis—you still review applications and choose who to hire, and availability may depend on your plan.

Can I share my brand profile?

Yes. Turn on your public profile and share the link in outreach to creators, alongside a brief, or on your own site. Anyone with the link can view your brand profile, open briefs, reviews, and track record, even without a PrimusLink account. Creators need to sign up before they can message you or apply to your briefs. Visitors see your total spend only as a range; you can show the exact amount to signed-in members in Settings. Public profiles are not indexed by search engines, and you can turn yours off at any time. What visitors can do →

What if a creator doesn’t deliver as promised?

If the creator misses the delivery deadline, a 24-hour cure period begins. If they still don’t deliver, the order is automatically canceled and the creator’s rate is refunded to the original payment method. Platform and payment-processing fees are non-refundable. If content is delivered but does not meet the agreed requirements, request revisions or open a dispute during the applicable review or security-hold period.

How do you verify creator audience metrics?

For influencers, follower counts, engagement rates, and average views are pulled from supported platform APIs and refreshed regularly, but not in real time. Audience demographics are available through supported connections for Instagram and YouTube. For TikTok and Twitch, demographic information may be provided by the creator. For UGC creators, brands can review the creator’s Primus Score, completed-order history, verified reviews, and portfolio before committing.

Can I run exclusive campaigns?

Yes. Exclusivity terms can limit how the same or substantially similar content is reused or relicensed for the period stated in the Order Terms. Exclusivity does not automatically prevent a creator from promoting a competitor. Any competitor restriction must be expressly included in the Order Terms and accepted by both parties.

Can I cancel an order?

Before a creator accepts a Package order, you can cancel it. Your card may show an authorization or temporary hold before acceptance, but the payment is captured only after the creator accepts. After payment is captured, cancellation requires mutual agreement or a dispute handled through the order flow. For a Brief, no order payment is captured until you select and hire a creator.

Referral Program

Do I get paid in cash or PrimusCredits?

Creator referrers receive cash rewards through Stripe Connect. Brand referrers receive PrimusCredits, which can be applied only as a discount on future platform fees—they cannot be redeemed for cash.

When do I actually start earning from someone I referred?

A referral becomes “Active” once the person you referred completes their first eligible order on PrimusLink. Until then, no rewards accrue—signing up alone isn’t enough.

How is my reward amount calculated?

As a percentage of the platform fee PrimusLink actually earns on your referral’s order—not a percentage of the full order value, and not on refunded, disputed, or fraudulent orders. The creator service fee is not included in the reward basis.

How do the tiers work?

Your rate depends on how many active referrals you have: Start (1–4) earns 5%, Silver (5–14) earns 7%, Gold (15–29) earns 10%, Platinum (30+) earns 12%. Your tier is locked in for each order at the moment it is completed—leveling up later doesn’t retroactively change past rewards.

When do I actually get paid or credited?

Rewards remain “Pending” for 5 days after the referred order is completed to cover any refunds or disputes. After that, they become available—creators are paid out automatically to their connected account, and brands see the credits added to their balance automatically.

Can I use my own referral code?

No—self-referrals are blocked and won’t earn a reward.

What happens if the order I get credit for is later refunded?

If a reward has not been paid or credited yet, it is canceled. If it has already been paid, PrimusLink may reverse it where possible. Any amount that cannot be reversed may be deducted from future referral rewards or other amounts payable through PrimusLink. PrimusLink does not withdraw the amount directly from your external bank account or payment card.

How long do I keep earning from someone I referred?

Up to 24 months from the date that referral first became Active. After that, their orders no longer generate rewards for you, regardless of your tier.

Account & Privacy

How secure is my data?

PrimusLink uses TLS to protect information transmitted between your device and our services. We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared when necessary to operate the platform, process transactions, meet legal obligations, or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.

What if I need to delete my account?

You can request account deletion through your app settings or by emailing support@primuslink.us. You cannot delete your account while you have active or outstanding Orders—all active deals must be completed or resolved first. We may retain certain information as required by law for tax records, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.

Can I secure my account with two-factor authentication?

Yes. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available in your account settings to add an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.

What should I do if I can’t access my account?

Select Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder and confirm that you entered the email associated with your account. If you still cannot sign in, email support@primuslink.us from that address when possible. Never send your password or a two-factor authentication code.

Troubleshooting

How do I report content or a user?

Open the relevant content or user card and select Report. Choose the reason that best describes the issue and submit the form. This sends the report with the relevant card context, so you do not need to contact support separately.

How do I get help with a deal?

Open the deal and select the Support icon in the deal panel. Describe what happened and submit the request from there.

Why aren’t my creator metrics updating?

Creator metrics are pulled from supported platform APIs and refreshed regularly, but not instantly. First use the available Sync option. If the connection needs authorization again, use Reconnect and approve the requested permissions. If the problem continues, report it through Settings → Support Center → Report a Bug / Issue.

Why can’t I connect Stripe?

Stripe Connect is used by creators to receive transfers. Complete every required onboarding field and resolve any verification requests shown by Stripe. PrimusLink cannot override Stripe’s identity or account-verification requirements. If the error occurs inside PrimusLink, report it through Settings → Support Center → Report a Bug / Issue. Brands add a payment method through the order checkout flow; they do not connect a Stripe payout account.

Where is my creator transfer?

Earnings become available after approval or automatic approval and the 3-day security hold. The minimum transfer amount is $10. Standard transfers are free and typically arrive in 1–2 business days. Eligible Instant Transfers typically arrive within 30 minutes and may cost up to 1.5% of the transfer amount, with a $0.50 minimum. Timing depends on Stripe and your bank. If the status appears incorrect, use Settings → Support Center → Report a Bug / Issue.

How do I report a bug or issue outside a deal?

In the app, go to Settings → Support Center → Report a Bug / Issue. Describe what happened and add any details requested by the form. If the problem is tied to an active deal, use the Support icon in that deal instead.

How do I suggest a feature or platform improvement?

In the app, go to Settings → Support Center → Submit a Feature Request / Idea. Use that form to explain the feature, change, or improvement you would like to see.

How do I share general feedback?

In the app, go to Settings → Share Feedback. Use this option for general comments about your experience. Report bugs through Support Center and deal-specific problems through the Support icon in the relevant deal.

How do I open a dispute?

Open the relevant deal, select the Support icon, and choose Open a dispute during the applicable review or 3-day security-hold period. Select the reason and provide the requested context. Both parties first have 72 hours to try to resolve the issue. If they cannot agree, PrimusLink Support reviews the dispute. Funds remain on hold until it is resolved.
